Mardi Gras in Orlando

Going on now at Universal Studios Orlando is the annual Mardi Gras Celebration. On many nights, through April 18th, a big name act is playing. Pat Benatar, MC Hammer, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly, and Trace Adkins have yet to play this year. It appears that the show is including in standard park admission. You can get Discount Universal Tickets at orlandofuntickets.com. I checked around, and they are definitely a bit less than buying direct. The discounted tickets leave nothing out. You still get to go to both parks and get a lot of bang for your buck. A two day pass is probably what I recommend if you want to see it all, because seeing two parks in one day can be exhausting. However, if you pick and choose what you want to do, you will have an enjoyable day no matter how long you have to go.
The greatest part about this little getaway is that there are many pet friendly accommodations near the park. In fact, The Royal Pacific has an entire tower with tiled, pet friendly rooms. They even offer special services for four legged friends. Room service has special meals and treats available. You can even sign up to have your pet walked by a caring staff member especially hired for the job. I would prefer to go walk my own dogs after a few hours, but its nice to know that you won’t have to leave your pets at home or in an unfamiliar place without you. There are other places, such as other theme parks in the area, that have kennels on site at near the entrance gates to each park, which is nice, but it is nothing like a pet being able to stay in a cozy room with treats, blankets, their own toys, and the TV. It is a little vacation for them just as much as it is for you.
